| New Teak Decks |
The Brewer Dauntless carpentry staff are in process of replacing the teak decks on this 45' sailboat "Boomer G". The job was actually started last winter when they templated the decks, so that the new decks could be built over the summer.
When the boat came in this fall, the crew removed all the necessary deck hardware, then went about removing the old teak decking. The fiberglass decks needed some repair work, and then they were prepped for the new decking.
The new decking will be final fitted, then glued and fastened. The seams will be caulked, and the decks will be sanded out. In the process of reinstaling the deck hardware, the staff will be installing new genoa tracks with moveable leads, as well as installing a new windlass. |
 |
| Starboard deck now has the decks glued down, the seams will be caulked with the black silicone. |

| Tartan 44 recieves refreshed decks with Awlgrip |
| A 1974 Tartan 44 has been made to look like new, even though it is 32 years old. This boat, owned by the current owner for 14 years, has been well maintained and upgraded by its current owner. This winter it has recieved a like-new appearance with the repainting of the decks with the use of Awlgrip paint. Prior to painting, repairs to the core and structure were accomplished. |
 |
| After repairs, the deck was primed and all smooth surfaces painted. Here it is masked and prepped for the non-skid application. |
