Brewer Yacht Yard at Cowesett, Rhode Island, a busy full service marina, is looking for part-time summer weekend help for the Marina Store. The hours are Saturday and Sunday 10a.m. until 4p.m. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking adult (18y/o or older) with a strong retail background. Brewer Cowesett and Greenwich bay Marinas are now hiring dock attendants for the 2013 summer season. Applicants must have strong customer service background, attention to detail, and ability to organize and multitask. Marine experience is helpful but will train right candidate. Job Duties Fuel sales, pool attendant and transient dockage Daily interaction with members and transient customers General marina maintenance (cleaning, taking out trash, checking the head) Planning and working events and activities Must Have Friendly and professional demeanor Ability to keep busy and work unsupervised Unmatched work ethic Reliable (tardiness and absences will not be allowed and are grounds for immediate removal) Top notch organizational skills Ability to go above and beyond when assisting members Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends This is a great opportunity for college students in need of summer work or anyone looking to enter the marine world or continue in the industry. Expectations will be high, but you will learn a lot. Positions are part time and seasonal. Compensation will be an hourly base with opportunity for increased gratuity.
