We've Been Helping Boaters For More Than A Century.

R.G. Brewer, of Mamaroneck opened his chandlery and hardware store in 1879, beginning a long tradition of personal service to professional and recreational boat owners, sailors and fishermen. In 1964 we wanted to provide more of that tried and true personal service to more boaters, and acquired the boat yard out back. It became known as Brewer Post Road Boat Yard and before long was known as one of the premier boat yards in its area. It remains the first of 22 Brewer Yards now located from New York to Maine.

Over the next 40 years, Jack Brewer learned a lot about running boat yards and providing service to yachtsmen. The importance of professional staff and immaculately maintained facilities, the need for top flight riggers, carpenters and mechanics, the benefits of constant formal training and the best equipment and tools. Anticipating our customers' needs, paying close attention to detail, and always following through, ensure we would get things right the first time.
