Directions by Land

Shipyard
From I-95 North or South: 1) Exit 69 (Route 9 North)   to Exit 3; 2) At the end of the ramp turn left; 3) At the stoplights, turn right and follow this road into Essex Village; 4) At the head of Main Street (approximately 3/4 mile) the street becomes one way; 5) At the Griswold Inn (about 1/4 mile down Main Street on the right), turn left onto Ferry Street, follow the street - Brewer Dauntless Shipyard is on the right (large sign at entrance)
From Route 9 South: 1) Exit 3 (Essex); 2) At the end of the ramp turn left; 3) At the stoplights turn left, follow this road into Essex Village; 4) Follow from #4 above...

Marina

Directions by Sea

Shipyard
Proceed up the Connecticut River past marker "R26" located in the vicinity of the Essex mooring field. On your port side, you will note two sets of yellow channel (local) markers, the northern pair marking the channel into Brewer Dauntless Shipyard. Proceed westward in the northern channel, past the two other marinas, and you will see Brewer Dauntless Shipyard directly ahead of you. Hail us on VHF channel 9, prior to entering the inner channel.

Marina
The Marina can be reached by turning west at Red #26 and proceeding through the southern fairway marked by yellow cans.
The Marina is just north of the channel. You will notice the fuel dock, which is marked by orange fender balls and the very noticeable Brewer oval. Call on VHF channel 68 for assistance.

Connecticut River Amtrak Movable Bridge
Information about the Connecticut RIver Amtrak Bridge:
From May 15th through October 15th -- all bridges re-open immediately after trains pass and will close in sufficient time for approaching trains. (During the Off Season, bridges will be opened as soon as practicable; in no case more than 20 minutes from time of request).
