32' Island Gypsy
When the 32’ Island Gypsy, named “Gypsy” and owned by Philip Bittel, a Brewer Deep River Marina customer, arrived in Fall of 2004 the crew went right to work removing the old teak decking. This was the first step in the beginning of the many repairs made the 1993 32’ Island Gypsy over the winter months by the Brewer Deep River staff. Once the decking was removed, the crew got to work repairing and replacing the deck core which was in need of repair. The original teak decking was then replaced with a new fiberglass deck and non-skid was added to create a faultless new deck for Philip to enjoy this coming 2005 season. In addition to the work done to the decking and core, all teak was stripped and refinished with 8 coats of Epifanes varnish. In the galley, a section of water damaged cabinets were replaced. The Brewer Deep River crew worked hard to create a beautiful finished product and I think from these photos it shows!! Check back for an update on “Gypsy” and Philip in the coming months…..
