| Brewer Post Road Boat Yard is a full-service, working boat yard, a marina, and the site of the original Brewer family business. Side by side, boats are worked on while copious beds of flowers are groomed. Freshly-painted facilities, coiled dock lines, and attentive staff present a consistent standard of quality for boaters and their guests. Numerous restaurants, a movie theatre, and all kinds of stores, groceries, and gourmet delicatessens are right up the street from the yard entrance. New York City is a 40-minute train ride away. Everything is within walking distance. At the head of the yard is the R.G. Brewer Hardware and Marine Chandlery, established in 1879 and operated by the Brewer family for four generations. Unique in today's mini-mart world, the historic post-and-beam store gives old fashioned personalized service where the big question is: what don't we have? |
