Brewer Stirling Harbor Marina is a full-service shipyard with a year round staff. We offer complete service for gasoline, diesel, and outboard engines; custom woodworking; detail and finish work; and fiberglass construction and repair. In season, we also offer emergency service seven days a week. Though we are able to handle nearly any project, we have especially strong carpentry and fiberglass departments.
Facilities/Equipment
With a 20-ton hydraulic trailer, a 50-ton travel lift, and a forklift we care for and service nearly 200 yachts, both large and small. A 10,000 sq. ft. building provides both indoor storage and service space.
Mechanical
We offer a diverse range of services, including engine repowers, running gear service, sanitation systems upgrades, fuel system replacement, and bow thruster installations. Our two-man mechanical team holds Sealand and Yanmar certifications, and maintains factory training by a number of manufacturers.
Our crew also attends annual Brewer-sponsored seminars, and participates in all in-house training opportunities.
Refinishing
Our finish department can handle a full complement of services, from structural fiberglass and cosmetic gelcoat repair, to yacht-quality paint and varnish application. Our crew is also licensed to apply bottom paint (considered a pesticide in NY) and is experienced in buffing and waxing hulls and superstructures.
Electrical
Our electrical team is ABYC certified and capable of installing and servicing all your electronic needs from inverters, to battery banks, to complete electronics packages.
Carpentry
True craftsman and shipwright, with extensive experience in fine furniture building, manage our woodworking department. Handling everything from custom hatch fabrication, to built-in cabinets, to interior and exterior repair and restoration… our team welcomes any woodworking challenge!
RIGGING
Our in-house rigging services include: standing and running rigging inspection, lifeline replacement, winch service, and mast polishing.
