SERVICE |

Brewer Post Road Boat Yard, the first of 21 Brewer yards, set the standard for yacht service when Jack Brewer first opened in 1964. Still a full-service boat yard, Post Road continues to enjoy its excellent reputation. Today, the yard has a strong mechanical department, is widely recognized for its paint and finish abilities, and offers professional carpentry, rigging, and electrical services. Because the yard is small, boat owners get a lot of personal attention as well as extra help with developing custom boat service and maintenance programs to fit individual needs. In this effort, the crew is available to customers on Saturday mornings throughout the winter months. Over coffee, projects are planned and questions are answered. |

FACILITIES/EQUIPMENT |

In well-maintained shops, we manage the restoration, repair, and maintenance of 150 yachts throughout the year. Shop space is climate-controlled and protected by fire alarm, while concrete floors provide a clean, orderly work surface. A 50-ton travel lift, a 35-ton rail lift, a 12-ton mobile crane, and a forklift are used for maneuvers on land. |

MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL |

Our five man mechanical team handles everything from engine repowers, to charging system installations, to troubleshooting, installing, and rewiring electrical systems. We adhere to ABYC standards in all of our work and review details of these guidelines at our weekly safety meetings. We remain technically up-to-date by attending annual service schools and sharing information and knowledge at regular in-house seminars. Additionally, our mechanic shop offers custom machining and welding. |

REFINISHING |
| |
Our finish department is run by four industry veterans. Each is skilled in the application of everything from Awlgrip, to Cetol, to varnish. In our heated paint booth, this team has the ability to finely finish boats up to 50' in length. Fiberglass repair, gelcoat restoration, and compounding and waxing are also managed by our finish crew. |

CARPENTRY |
| |
Our journeyman carpenter is an old-fashioned boat builder with years of experience. He is particularly skilled in plank-on-frame construction and repairs, but is equally capable of replacing bulkheads, installing teak decks, and repairing toe rails. Whatever woodworking project you are preparing to tackle, we can help. |

RIGGING |
| |
We offer indoor, padded rack storage for masts in the off-season. In addition, our rigger is equipped with a tooling bench on which wire rope (up to 3/8") can be swaged and furlers can be inspected and built. We also service winches, inspect standing and running rigging, replace lifelines, and polish and paint masts.
