Brewer Sakonnet Marina’s peaceful, protected location provides a safe and convenient port for cruisers. Whether exploring Narragansett Bay or cruising to nearby Newport, Fall River, Block Island, Cuttyhunk and Buzzards Bay, there are plenty of ideal weekend getaways. By dinghy, the Kickamuit River's gunk holes and inlets provide endless opportunity for exploring. Wine lovers will appreciate the coastal vineyards located throughout the region, as well. By land, Portsmouth is only 20 miles from Providence, and 10 miles from Fall River. Nearby T. F. Greene Airport in Warwick serves eight major airlines, while Logan Airport in Boston accommodates flights around the world Just two miles away, the Newport State Airport provides service to executive jets and charter flights. Winter Storage

Brewer Sakonnet Marina offers several storage options:
Inside storage is available in two of our North Yard buildings. Buildings are heated during working hours, and all indoor boats are covered with plastic dust covers for the winter. Inside storage rates are figured by the square foot; and all spring commissioning and winter work is completed by Sakonnet staff, who work year ‘round to ensure proper care for your boat.

Wet Storage is an option at both the North Yard and South Yard. To secure your winter slip, proof of insurance and payment is to be provided. Electric use is metered and billed accordingly, throughout the winter. We welcome live-aboard customers, but for safety reasons, do not allow electric heaters.

Outside Storage is available in both the North & South Yards; most boats under 30′ are stored in our South Yard. Jack stands are checked on all boats throughout the winter season. Batteries are stored in a designated shed, and are charged throughout the winter months.

Mast Storage is accommodated in both yards. Masts are wrapped in plastic on request, and are stored outside.

Outdrive & Outboard Storage is available both inside and outside our heated mechanic shop.

Please Note: For the safety of all customers, covers should never be tied to boat stands. During windy conditions, covers can act like sails and cause boats to fall over, which can create a domino effect for other boats, as well. Also, please do not lock ladders to boat stands.
