Spring News Letter from Jeremy Maxwell

Dear Brewer Pilots Point Marina Members,

The first signs of spring have finally arrived at Pilots Point and launching has started.  After a very full winter of refit work we are looking forward to seeing all of you here for another great season of boating. Our crews are already busy preparing the marina grounds and we have another exciting season of events planned. We have made a few small changes to the activities schedule this year that we look forward to sharing with you in the coming weeks. As always, we value your input and if there any changes you might like to see to our events we would love to hear from you!

Many of you already know the exciting news that the Brewer Yacht Yard Group has merged with Safe Harbor Marinas.  This merger makes Safe Harbor Marinas the largest owner and operator of U.S. marinas with 63 properties across 17 states. Please be reassured that that the Brewer Yacht Yards brand isn’t going anywhere and will remain under the Safe Harbor umbrella. Additionally, the board and leadership of the combined company will be made up of executives from both Safe Harbor Marinas and Brewer Yacht Yards. Safe Harbor Marinas has—and will always be—committed to the business of family, friends, and fun. These principles are the foundation of our business and will be meticulously nurtured by the leadership team of the combined company.

There are many ways in which a business can be judged; financial success, customer satisfaction, and loyalty amongst them. In my opinion a business should be judged by its employees’ talents, dedication and loyalty. This year we celebrate the anniversaries of a number of our employees who have been with us for more than 30 years.  One of them is Wayne Hughes. Wayne celebrated his 40th year with Pilots Point Marina this week! His expert and meticulous brushwork brings world-famous yachts such as “Ticonderoga” and “Brilliant” to Pilots Point every year. Thank you Wayne, you make us proud!

All of our staff are committed to providing for you a place where you can enjoy your time on board with family and friends. On behalf of all of us we welcome you back to Pilots Point for a fun and safe season. We appreciate that for many boaters, the marina is their “home away from home”. Our goal is to help you make the best out of every minute aboard your boat. Thank you for choosing us, please let us know if there is anything else we can do.
